Learn more about our company: its founding, in-house developments, certificates and more

We are a long-standing company with some 30 employees working in the development, production and sale of nuclear radiation meters. Our history and almost 50 years of existence alone, enable us to draw on a wealth of experience.

We focus our work on the development of dose rate detectors and personal dosimeters. This means we can offer different types of instruments with which dose rates from 1 nSv/h to 10 Sv/h can be measured. Such a wide range in terms of measurement ensures we never lose sight of the big picture: For example, our instruments are also equipped with a robust and waterproof die-cast aluminium casing. This is particularly advantageous in harsh environmental conditions.

Depending on where our radiation protection measuring instruments are used, it becomes quickly evident that the areas of application are not only in industry or research, for example for monitoring a daily radiation dose or for use in occupational safety. In addition, our nuclear radiation measuring instruments are also used in civil defence and disaster control. Last but not least, fire brigades are also among our customers. We are represented worldwide through our large distribution network.

We developed the first portable battery-powered radiation meter

The fact that our team has many years of experience is evident in the numerous developments that have been used all over the world for a long time and are partly known for their technical advantage. One example is the Szintomat 6134A. It is the first portable battery-powered radiation measuring instrument with a microprocessor. We developed it in 1978. A few years later, in 1984, we also took the plunge and were the first to equip an electronic personal dosimeter with a microprocessor, the Dosimeter 219.1.

Certification of our devices and our QM

Wherever appropriate and applicable, our radiation measuring instruments have the necessary certificates from the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) for a formal conformity assessment in accordance with the Measurement and Verification Act valid since 2015. What's more, we had our quality management certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001 and KTA 1401 in 1985.
