The centerpiece of this measurement device is an end window Geiger-Mueller tube of pancake type. As a consequence of the large diameter and the low height it is well suited for contamination detection. The mica end window allows for detection of alpha, beta and gamma contamination on an area of 15,6cm2 with excellent efficiency.
On the back of the probe body there is a LED which serves as an optical pulse indicator. So the user does not permanently have to look at the display device, especially if the acoustic pulse indicator is turned off. The flexible gooseneck, which connects the probe body with the handle, allows for an adjustment of the device by users preferences.
