The 876.x probe adapters are used to map the reading by the 6150AD
or a probe to various analogue and digital outputs. This means that
the reading by the 6150AD can be processed by external devices that
require a different interface than the RS232 of the 6150AD.
All models have the following properties
-
RS485 interface
Up to 32 probe adapters can be connected to a central computer and
evaluated via an RS485 bus (2 wire). The cable length can be up to
1,000 m. With the help of one (or more) repeaters, even larger
distances can be bridged and up to 99 devices can be connected to
one computer.
-
Averaging and storage
The probe adapters can average and save the measured values. The
duration of the averaging can be set using commands via the RS485
interface. 1,000 mean values can be saved in the probe adapter. In
addition to the mean value, the maximum value and the time are
also saved. A warning threshold can also be set. If the warning
threshold is exceeded, the duration of the averaging changes to a
value that can also be set.
-
Pulse output
The probe adapters use the dose rate to calculate a dead time
corrected pulse frequency that is proportional to the dose rate
and can be processed by an external counting device. A pulse
frequency of 100 kHz corresponds to the end of the dose rate range
of the respective detector.
-
Analogue output
The analogue outputs of the individual models have different
properties, see below.
-
Power supply 6 to 16 VDC.
-
Aluminium housing, dimensions 100 × 65 × 35 mm3.
Probe Adapter 876.1
This probe adapter is no longer manufactured. It was replaced
by the model 876.3.
Probe Adapter 876.2
A 6150AD is connected to this probe adapter using the
connecting cable EB84-0193 (not included in the delivery),
whereby the probe adapter records the measured values of the
6150AD. Any probe from the 6150AD family can optionally be
connected to this connection cable using a standard probe
cable. The probe adapter then records the readings taken by
the probe.
Two analogue outputs: logarithmic 0 to 1 volt for the dose
rate and a range identifier (µSv/h, mSv/h, Sv/h). These
analogue outputs match the 2-line mini recorder L120E-2 for
the Szintomat 6134A(/H).
Probe Adapter 876.3
Like the 876.2, however this probe adapter does not connect a
6150AD. Instead it is compatible with any probe of the 6150AD
family using a standard probe cable. A 6150AD is not required,
but the measured value must be displayed via one of the
outputs of the probe adapter.
Please note: Probe Adapters 876.3 with software prior to 2013
do not support probes 6150AD-t(/E) and 6150AD-k.
Probe Adapter 876.1
Like 876.3 yet with a different analogue output:
-
Analogue output
4 to 20 mA, logarithmic
-
Probe 6150AD-15(/E)
4 to 20 mA for 0.1 mSv/h to 10 Sv/h
-
Probe 6150AD-18(/E)
4 to 20 mA for 0.01 µSv/h to 10 mSv/h
-
Probe 6150AD-t(/E)
Counter for low range: 4 to 20 mA for 0.01 µSv/h to 10 mSv/h
-
Probe 6150AD-t(/E)
Counter for high range: 4 to 20 mA for 0.1 mSv/h to 10 Sv/h
-
Probe 6150AD-b(/E)
4 to 20 mA for 1 nSv/h to 100 µSv/h
-
Probe 6150AD-17
4 to 20 mA for 0,01 s-1 to 10k s-1
-
Sondenfamilie AD-0, z.B. 6150AD-k
4 to 20 mA for 0,1 s-1 to 1000k s-1
Please note: Probe Adapters 876.4 with software prior to 2013
only support probes 6150AD-15(/E) and 6150AD-18(/E).
